Ora Mae “Sunny” Broline, age 88 of Woodhull, Illinois died Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Cottage Hospital in Galesburg, Illinois. Services are 11:30 AM Friday, March 7, 2014 at the Peterson Wallin Knox Funeral Home in Woodhull. Burial is in the Woodhull Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 AM until time of services Friday at the funeral home where memorials may be left to the Bethany Lutheran Church in Woodhull, IL. She was born September 11, 1925 in Caruthersville, MO, to Arthur Paul and Effie Mae Culver Kinder. She graduated from Westport High School. She married John Curtis Broline March 9, 1946 in Galesburg, IL.
Sunny owned and operated a Beauty Shop in Woodhull for 14 years and was employed in the billing Department for 22 years at Maytag in Galesburg, retiring in 1990.
She was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church in Woodhull and the Red Hat Society.
Survivors include her husband, John Curtis; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, James and Janet Broline of Burr Ridge, IL, Russell and Suzanne Broline of Jacksonville Beach, FL; 2 grandsons, John (Kathleen) Broline of Oak Lawn, IL, Matthew Broline of San Antonio, TX; 2 step-grandsons, Christopher Hall of Jacksonville, IL and Jason Hall of Colorado Springs, CO; 1 great grandson, Daniel Broline of Oak Lawn, IL; and 3 nephews.
Her parents and 1 brother preceded her in death.
