CHICAGO (AP) — Republican candidate for Illinois governor Bruce Rauner is taking a break from campaigning to fulfill another responsibility: jury duty.
A campaign spokesman says Rauner was summoned to jury duty Tuesday morning at Cook County’s Richard J. Daley Center Courthouse.
The Winnetka businessman faces state Sens. Bill Brady and Kirk Dillard and state Treasurer Dan Rutherford in the March 18 primary.
The four candidates are scheduled to debate Tuesday night at the University of Chicago.
