voteSPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) — The four Republican candidates for Illinois governor touted their biggest accomplishments in response to an Associated Press questionnaire ahead of the March 18 primary. The answers give voters a glimpse into each contender’s priorities and leadership.

Sen. Bill Brady of Bloomington notes his work on a committee that helped craft the state worker pension overhaul last year.

Sen. Kirk Dillard of Hinsdale talks about his bipartisan work in crafting the 1998 “Gift Ban Act,” the first comprehensive ethics-reform legislation since the Watergate era.

Venture capitalist Bruce Rauner of Winnetka says his biggest accomplishment is successful investments for state pension systems through his private equity firm.

State Treasurer Dan Rutherford notes his work in the House to develop a fairer way to reimburse Medicaid expenses for nursing homes.
