A Galesburg woman who reportedly told police she had recently used methamphetamine prior to her arrest, now says she’s not guilty of felony meth charges.

Knox County Circuit Court records indicate 20-year-old Nicole Mabry pleaded not guilty yesterday to felony charges including Aggravated Participation in Meth Production, and Meth-Related Child Endangerment.

Mabry was arrested almost a month ago, after prosecutors say police were first called to a home in the nine-hundred block of North Broad Street for a domestic disturbance.

A search of the home later turned up methamphetamine and items used in meth production, including waste. Police also believe a one-and-a-half year old child was in the home at the time.

Mabry was arrested right away, and despite being pregnant, reportedly told police she had been using meth.

A second person arrested — 30-year-old John Gerstel — faces similar charges, and was arrested several weeks after first being listed as wanted.

Mabry is scheduled to be in Knox County Circuit Court again for a pre-trial hearing May fifth. She remains jailed on 50-thousand dollars bond.

Gerstel will next be in court May first for an arraignment hearing after also having a court hearing yesterday.
