CHICAGO (AP) — Nik Wallenda is scouting locations in Chicago for a tightrope walk among the city’s skyscrapers to be televised this fall on Discovery Channel.
The high-wire walker was staying at a hotel near Willis Tower, but would only say he hasn’t entirely ruled it out for his performance.
Wallenda told the Chicago Sun-Times on Thursday the first spot he would look to for a walk is the tallest building in town. However, the building creates a problem because there isn’t a nearby building tall enough to connect his rig to. Wallenda also says the Trump International Hotel and Tower is unlikely to work.
Wallenda says he doesn’t have a problem on his hands in selecting a site. He notes he’s the man who walked across Niagara Falls and the Grand Canyon.
