World Cup Watch Party at Soldier Field

CHICAGO (AP) — Thousands of soccer fans are expected at Chicago’s Soldier Field to attend a watch party for the U.S. game against Belgium.

Tuesday’s event was moved to Soldier Field after tens of thousands of fans packed the city’s lakefront Grant Park for previous games.
Gates at the home of the Chicago Bears open at 1:30 p.m. and the match starts at 3 p.m.

Fans wildly waved American flags and wore red, white and blue at Chicago watch parties in recent weeks for this year’s World Cup.

The earlier U.S. game against Portugal brought about 20,000 fans to Grant Park.
