Davenport Casino Reopens After Flooding Concerns

DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) — The Rhythm City Casino in Davenport is reopening after being closed for two weeks because of flooding concerns along the Mississippi River.

General manager Mo Hyder said in a news release that the riverboat casino is reopening Tuesday morning because floodwaters have receded. That has allowed “clean and safe access” for employees and customers.

The Quad-City Times reports the casino closed on June 30 after high water levels on the Mississippi River. Officials thanked the city for their efforts in protecting the facility and other properties in Davenport.
