The sounds of livestock and a gathering of people can only mean one thing in Roseville.
This week, the Warren County Fair has been ongoing and with it came its annual competitions.
Chief among those competitions is giving area youth in Warren County the opportunity to show livestock in their respective categories.
Warren County Fair President Dan Byers tells WGIL that showcasing agriculture showcases a large part of the community.
“What the kids learn from the projects, as far as caring for the animals and working all year long with them, certainly translates into life skills that they’ll be able to use later in life and certainly learn the value and responsibility of seeing a project through from start to finish,” says Byers.
Fair festivities started last weekend with the crowning of the Warren County Fair Queen.
Fair goers also had a carnival and the rides the take in this week.
Byers says that planning the fair typically takes some time, but he says things have gone well this week.
