PLAINFIELD, Ill. (AP) — A 35-year-old Illinois man has been charged in connection with a Plainfield bank robbery.
Kenneth Matlock was charged with one count of felony bank robbery Monday. He was arrested shortly after the robbery Friday.
A criminal complaint says the suspect told the bank teller he would like to withdraw money, and then gave the teller a note demanding money and indicating he had a gun. The complaint says a witness called police and provided information that led to Matlock’s arrest.
Matlock faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
His attorney declined to comment Monday.
