A Galesburg teenager accused of robbing another man during what prosecutors say is a drug deal has made another appearance in court.
19-year-old Jordan Eskridge made his first appearance in Knox County Circuit Court this morning since Karl Johnson was appointed last week as his Public Defender.
Eskridge faces a Class-X felony count of Armed Robbery.
Knox County prosecutors say police were called Thursday afternoon to Kiwanis Park, where they say a drug deal was going to occur between Eskridge and the alleged male victim.
Eskridge then allegedly displayed a gun and told the victim to give him his money.
Eskridge later fled, but was stopped a short time later. The State’s Attorney says Eskridge had no money or weapon on him, but did have several hundred dollars in cash.
Police reports of the incident were not made available over the weekend.
Eskridge remains held in the Knox County Jail on $100-thousand bond. He’ll be back in court with Johnson October 7th for a preliminary hearing.
