POPLAR GROVE, Ill. (AP) — Boone County authorities say a drug raid has led to one arrest and confiscation of more than $100,000 in marijuana.
The Rockford Register Star reports federal, state and county authorities said Wednesday they raided a Poplar Grove residence Tuesday and discovered an indoor cannabis-growing operation in the basement. Authorities seized the cannabis, drug paraphernalia, packaging materials, a digital scale, a vehicle and cash
Authorities arrested 35-year-old Shane Amans of Poplar Grove and charged him with felony unlawful possession with the intent to deliver cannabis. He is being held on $250,000 bond in the Boone County Jail and faces four to 15 years in prison if convicted
Authorities say his arrest concluded a six-month investigation by the county narcotics unit.
It wasn’t immediately clear if he has an attorney.
