LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Jacob Cronenworth and Jackson Glines had two hits apiece and Evan Hill threw 6 2-3 solid innings to lead Michigan to a 4-3 win over Bradley in an elimination game at the Louisville Regional on Sunday.
The third-seeded Wolverines (39-24) advance to play the host Cardinals, the third overall seed in the NCAAs, later Sunday. They’ll have to beat Louisville, which is unbeaten in regional play so far, twice to advance to the Super Regional.
The loss ends the season for the second-seeded Braves (36-21).
Hill (2-2), a junior left-hander, gave up two runs, one earned, on seven hits with six strikeouts and one walk.
Evan Gruener hit a solo home run with one out in the top of the ninth to pull the Braves within a run, but Carmen Benedetti came in to earn his third save of the season.
Bradley starter Brent Strong (5-6) gave up four earned runs on seven hits while walking two and striking out three in 4 2-3 innings.
