Galesburg 7th Ward Alderman Jeremy Karlin has begun spreading the word about his announcement to run for Knox County State’s Attorney.Karlin says when he ran for Alderman, he wanted to focus on quality of life issues in Knox County. Karlin tells WGIL that he decided to campaign for State’s Attorney, in order to further his goal of making Knox County a safer and higher quality place to live.
“I feel that the best way to accomplish my goal of trying to make Knox County a more livable place and make it a better quality of life, is to serve as State’s Attorney, to address this issue of crime with a new approach and a new vision,” says Karlin.
According to Karlin, when he traveled door to door in his last two campaigns for Alderman, he found that many residents had issues with the amount of crime in the area.
