Dunlap, Harold Guy

‘So God Made a Farmer’…Getting up every day at the break of dawn to feed the livestock, milk the cows and tend to the chores, plant the seeds, till the fields and reap the harvest…This defined the character of a man named Harold Guy Dunlap… We called him “Daddy”… Harold passed away on Friday, March 4, 2016 and is now with his wife and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born January 19, 1927 to the late William Guy and Katherine Dunlap.

Cows need to be milked twice a day… God entrusted Harold to tend to his herd and he did so for eleven straight year’s morning and evening… A man who’s word was his bond through the goods seasons and the bad seasons… Harold not only was gifted and had grit to endure farming, he and his wife managed to raise a family with his values, with strong bonds, with a loving heart to carry on the responsibility to their families… His Sundays were spent with his family, eating popcorn, making homemade ice cream and playing football in the front yard.  Harold was quiet, hardworking, unpretentious, trustworthy and God-fearing.

He was a United States Navy Veteran serving in WWII and a part of our Nations Greatest Generation.

Harold was preceded in death by his wonderful and loving wife of 58 years, Patricia Ann Wolford Dunlap, one granddaughter, Megan Jane Dunlap and brother, Robert Hugo Dunlap.
