Cardinals 1B Adams exits with bruised knee after collision

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Cardinals first baseman Matt Adams has bruised his left knee and exited Thursday’s game at St Louis.

Adams was injured when he collided with Philadelphia’s Cameron Rupp in a play at first base in the first inning.

Adams left in the fourth inning for precautionary reasons.
