Postseason play for area class 1A and 2A baseball and softball teams begins at many sites in Illinois today. As for the Galesburg Silver Streaks, there is one more week of regular season play, including the makeup of the girls softball doubleheader this afternoon against United Township at GHS. Tomorrow, the baseball team was to have played at Rock Falls, but that contest has now been cancelled according to a release from the Galesburg High School Athletic Department. The GHS girls soccer team will be playing tomorrow, as they host Peoria Notre Dame on Tuesday at 4:30 in the opening game of the class 2A regional tournament.
