Roasted Strawberry Malt Milkshake
Ingredients:
1 pound strawberries washed, trimmed and quartered
3 tablespoons sugar
1 pint vanilla ice cream
3 tablespoons malt powder
¼ cup milk
whipped cream and strawberries, for garnish
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375°F. Toss quartered strawberries with sugar and spread into an even layer on a baking dish. Roast 25 to 30 minutes, or until strawberries are soft and juices begin to caramelize. Remove strawberries from oven; set aside to cool.
Once strawberries are cool, add to a blender (high-powered) along with ice cream, malt powder and milk. Blend on high until smooth and combined. If needed, add additional milk (tablespoon at a time) to thin shake. Pour into glasses and top with whipped cream and strawberries.
