A Galesburg woman was arrested on meth charges Sunday along with the arrest of a Galesburg man on identical charges.

Thirty-four-year-old Melissa Goodwin appeared in Knox County Circuit court via video yesterday afternoon, where Judge Stephen Mathers set bond at $25,000 and appointed a public defender in the case.

The assistant state’s attorney’s office alleges Goodwin participated in meth cooks in a number of Galesburg apartments, one of which was done with 42-year-old Kenneth Aldridge, who also appeared Monday.

Goodwin is charged with unlawful participation of meth production alongside a number of other meth related charges, which include possession of the drug and possession of meth making materials.

Goodwin will reappear in court Wednesday at 11 a.m.

UPDATED 7/26/16 at 6:16 a.m. to include Kenneth Aldridge charges.
