Two men were arrested in rural Fulton County yesterday for illegally cultivating marijuana and producing meth.
Thirty-five-year-old Seth Yates of rural Marietta and 25-year-old Joseph Simpson of rural Bushnell are the alleged culprits.
The West Central Illinois Task Force in Macomb says six marijuana plants, meth production items and a firearm were all seized from Yates’s home on McDonough County Line Road.
The duo were arrested at another residence around 5 a.m. Tuesday.
Yates and Simpson both face a number of meth related charges including aggravated unlawful meth production, which is a class X felony worth up to 40 years in prison.
Yates is additionally charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and cultivation of a marijuana. Both remain in Fulton County Jail, Yates on $160,000 bond and Simpson on $150,000 bond.
