Galesburg man considered armed and dangerous

A Galesburg man is wanted by the Knox County Sheriff’s Department and is considered armed and dangerous.
The Knox County State’s Attorney’s office obtained a warrant this week to increase 19 year old Alexander J. Brady’s bond from $100,000 to $750,000 after a June 16 arrest in Woodford County.

Brady was arrested on Mar. 6 when Sheriff’s deputies responded to a domestic dispute.

A Sherriff’s Deparment news release says that during the incident Brady burglarized a house and stole a shotgun, which he pointed at officers.

Brady was arrested, FOID card revoked and turned over two shotguns and a AR-15 style rifle.

He was charged with felony counts of residential burglary and aggravated assault to a peace officer with a firearm.

Brady was arrested again on June 12 after being pulled over by Illinois State Police west bound on I-74 in Woodford County.

Troopers discovered in Brady’s vehicle five loaded semi-automatic pistols, a loaded AR-15 style rifle and 600 rounds of ammo.

The State’s Attorney obtained the warrant for bond increase for Mar 6 incident based on Brady’s Woodford County arrest.

Judge Charles M. Feeney III is set to preside over Brady’s preliminary hearing in Woodford County Court on Aug 4. at 3:30 p.m.
