Man involved in 2005 meth fire arrested in Florida

St. Petersburg, Florida police arrested a man once of Galesburg for his alleged involvement in a 2005 meth fire at 662 E. North St.

Dennis Little Jr. is charged with possession of meth manufacturing materials and is believed to have been living under the alias Steven Cramer — an inmate already incarcerated in a federal penitentiary.

Little was picked up on a warrant in Florida early this morning. In 2005, he was arrested following the fire and was sent to OSF. St Mary Medical Center, due to burns sustained in the fire.

Little escaped from the hospital and was not found.

According to police reports, the case was re-opened when an informant questioned if Little had been killed and buried, locally.

An assortment of interviews by GPD lead to Florida authorities discovering his alias and discovering Little.

Little’s bond attachment in 2005 was set at $50,000. But due to the length of time he alluded authorities, Judge Ray Cavanaugh increased bond to $150,000.

Little has yet to be expedited to the Knox County Jail.
