Galesburg Silver Streaks Boys Basketball vs Peoria Notre Dame Irish

Here is a recap of the game from WGIL’s Brad Bennewitz:

The Galesburg Boys Basketball team started its season nearly the best way possible scoring the first 11 points of the game on the way to a 51 – 17 rout of Peoria Notre Dame in the opener of the Thanksgiving Tournament. Silver Streaks lead by 20 at the half, in fact the closest the Irish ever got after that 11 to nothing start by the Streaks was within 7 and the Streaks roll thanks largely to their defense which held Notre Dame to less than 20% shooting for the game.

TJ Pendleton was the only player in double figures in a balanced scoring effort he lead the Streaks with 10 and 8 rebounds, Jacob Carl right behind with 9 as the Silver Streaks open big.

Their next action comes up Friday afternoon against Chicago Harper the first of two games the Silver Streaks will play that day, they also take on another Chicago team, a charter school named Quest, in the second game of the day coming up on Friday night. But for now the Silver Streaks enjoy a 34 point win to open the season 51-17 over Peoria Notre Dame.

The Dave’s Autobody Crunch-Time Player of the Game tonight was Jacob Ross who scored the first 11 points of the game for the Streaks to start them off with a commanding lead.
