Denim and Pearls are taking their denim and their pearls and are moving them up the block.The women’s clothing boutique is currently on the corner of South Seminary and Simmons but has found a new home on the corner of Seminary and Main.
Somethin’ Brewin’ was at this location previously.
Co-owner Stacey Browder says they’ll close shop the last week of January and open in the new spot a week or two into February.
Browder and Ryan Frakes saw the storefront was available and they were “desperately” in need of more space so took the leap.
With the move they’ll get about 400 sq. ft in additional space.
With that new space Browder says they’re looking into picking up workout and plus size lines.
Browder tells WGIL that above all else she’s excited about the new location.
“There’s a lot more traffic on Main Street,” Browder says. “We’re right across from Four Seasons so there will be a lot more people that drive by that don’t actually know we’re here. On a daily basis I here, ‘I’ve never heard of your store. How long have you been here?’ And we’ve been here for six years.”
Browder and Frakes have owned Denim and Pearls for the last two years.
Also coming with the move Browder says the store will work towards a lower price point to offer more affordable stylings.
