The GHS Silver Streaks Girls picked up win number twenty today as they beat the Champaign St Thomas More Sabers 58-37. Kaylah Townsell led the Streaks in scoreing with 13 points. She also grabbed 7 assists and 4 steals in the game. Saige Milroy had a pretty good afternoon as well, she picks up 6 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds. Our Dave’s Auto Body Player of the Game this afternoon was Megan Lingafelter. She had 12 points in the game. All 12 of those coming from 3-point shots, putting at 4 total, her career high so far for 3-pointers. So she was 4/8 in 3-point attempts, she also managed to get 1 assist and 1 steal.
This win makes the Girls 20-5 for the season as they get ready to face-off against the Bloomington Purple Raiders this evening. Pre-game for that one is set to go at 6:06 with a tip-off scheduled for 6:30.
