OSF Doctor invents new stent

A doctor at OSF St. Francis Medical Center has invented a special stent that can be used in treating certain types of kidney infections — a stent that has already successfully been used in a process that has turned two minimally-invasive surgeries into one.  Dr. Bob Smouse founded BrightWater Medical in order to manufacture and develop the “ConvertX” stent and other devices, and talks about it with Will Stevenson on Galesburg’s Evening News.
