Executive Director of the Knox County Farm Bureau Caitlin Chrzanowski announced today that she is resigning from her post. Her last day will September 22 before she starts as a Community Relations Specialist at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

Chrzanowski says she wasn’t actively looking for a new position but said it’s been a long term goal of her and her fiancee’s to move back to their hometown of Ottawa.

“This opportunity came available,” Chrzanowski says. “It was a little sooner than I had anticipated but it was a great opportunity and I’m excited to make the transition into healthcare.”

Farm Bureau President Grant Strom says the bureau has been able to achieve many goals under Chrzanowski’s leadership including new programming, meeting membership quotas and earning the President’s Award from the Illinois Farm Bureau.

She calls her time at the farm bureau a “blessing.”

“We have great leadership and the amount of people we have that are excited about our programming and wanting to help is really what has made us such a success. We have a great board of directors, great committees and our staff is incredible,” Chrzanowski says.

She speaks highly of the incoming director Hailey Weyhrich, who has been with the Illinois Farm Bureau Training program since May and will shadow Chrzanowski for the next month to familiarize herself with the job.
