In their home opener the Monmouth-Roseville Titans volleyball team swept the Mercer County Golden Eagles 25-6, 26-24.
After getting dominated in game one, the Golden Eagles battled hard to make it interesting in game two.
Mercer County took sepearte 11-7, and 21-17 leads and had all the momentum to push for a third match, but the Silver Streaks bounced back.
Behind senior Kaylee Woodard’s 9 service points and 4 aces and seinior Cora Neal’s block at the net helped Galesburg rally and get the 2-point victory over Mercer County.

The Galesburg Silver Streaks girls golf team handed their rival Rock Island a 171-217 loss.
Kirsten Osborn lead Galesburg shooting a 38, Rylee Chockley shot a 39 with Maitylin Sanders scoring a 40.
