Something that organizers say isn’t getting a lot of attention in this area could get a lot more starting this weekend. A walk will be held Saturday morning at Lake Storey benefiting the Brain Aneurysm Foundation after Aaron Huls passed away last year — more than ten years after he suffered his first aneurysm. Aaron’s father Alan, and widow Megan, talk with Will Stevenson about the walk on Galesburg’s Evening News.
Director of Curriculum for District 205 Tiffany Springer says that by 2025 she hopes to have ten instructional coaches in Galesburg schools.
Several bills sponsored by Representative Dan Swanson of Alpha were signed into law by Governor Bruce Rauner last weekend, three of them during the Veterans and Gold Star Families Day at the Illinois State Fair.
The District 205 Board of Education last night renewed a contract with Bridgeway to provide mental health counseling at Lombard Middle School.
The Galesburg Education Association could approve a new two-year contract today.
