GHS Boy’s and Girl’s golf teams sweep triangulars on the road

It was a good day for Galesburg High School golf as both the boy’s and girl’s teams swept triangulars while on the road.

The boy’s golf team swept Sherrard and Princeton on Thursday.

The Silver Streak’s shot a 154 while the Tigers had a 169 and the Princes a 169.

Lucas Watson led the Silver Streaks with a 35, Owen Hawkins had a 37, Justin Endthoff and Luke Bradburn both shot 41.

On the girl’s side the Silver Streak shot a 172 to sweep a triangular with Morton and Pekin.

Mortin followed up with a 178 and Pekin had a 212.

Galesburg’s Maitylin Sanders carded a 38 while Kirsten Osborn had a 39, and Rylee Chockley had a 43.

Ridgewood rolled Knoxville 163-207.

Thomas Bumann and Levi Swanson both shot a 38 to lead Ridgewood while Knoxville’s Luke Thompson shot a 47, and George Dredge had a 51.

 

VOLLEYBALL
The Monmouth-Roseville Titans dominated West Hancock in straight sets 25-10, 25-17.

The Titans were lead by Carly Gillen who notched 8 service points and 3 aces, while Kaylee Woodard added 7 digs, and 5 kills. Cora Neal had 5 kills as well and Mackenzie Connell had 9 assists.

West Prairie shut out Abingdon-Avon 25-12, 25-14.

Payton Florine led the Tornadoes with 2 aces, 2 blocks and 4 kills while Courtney Moor added 5 assists and Charli Johnson had 4 digs.

Knoxville beat Havana in straight sets 25-15, 25-22.

The Blue Bullets were led by Shelby Shreeves who had 5 kills, and 11 assists while Lauren Kavanagh had 10 digs and 2 aces.

Rushville-Industry beat Bushnell-Priairie City in three sets 25-16, 23-25, 15-11.

Churchill’s 7th grade girls defeated Costa 26-12

The Lombard girls swept Peoria Quest last night.

The 7th grade Zephyrs won 22-16 while the 8th graders won 40-23.
