Here’s a re-cap of tonight’s game from WGIL’s Brad Bennewitz:
The Galesburg High School football team ended their season not quite the way they had intended but battled right down to the final minute in a 36-28 loss to Peoria High School.
They pulled off a monstrous upset over them last year and almost did it again this time, but just couldn’t quite come back from an 18-point deficit.
Clark Hawkins finishes his career as a Silver Streak passing for just under 200-yards and 3 touchdowns. One of those touchdowns went to Carsen Johnson who was tonight’s Dave’s Auto-body Crunchtime Player of the Game. Johnson finished tonight with a career high of 119-yards in reception.
Silver Streaks finish the season 3-6, and the sophomores finish their season 3-5 as they lost Thursday night to Peoria.
