Galesburg Silver Streaks Boys Basketball vs Rantoul Eagles

The Galesburg Silver Streaks forced eight Rantoul turnovers in the fourth quarter, part of a fourteen nothing run as Galesburg opened up what was a one point lead over the Eagles late in the third quarter and ended up cruising to a 64-49 victory to go 2-0 on the season. Galesburg put four players in double figures including two with double-doubles. Andrew Anderson our Dave’s Autobody Crunch-Time Player of the Game led the way with 18 points and 10 rebounds, a breakaway steal at half court, and a hammer dunk that ignited the crowd as the Silver Streaks went up double digits to get that Dave’s Autobody Crunch-Time Player of the Game honor. Jacob Carl also had a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds, Khalil Hodge  had 12 points all in the second half, and Eric Price off the bench finish with 10 point. Silver Streaks are now off for Thanksgiving but they will be back for a double header on Friday as the Silver Streaks will battle Chicago Harper for a pre-game show at 12:25 p.m. here on WGIL and then the Streaks will wrap up the night against Rockford Lutheran at 7:15 p.m.. Again Galesburg wins it tonight over Rantoul 64-49  here on WGIL.
