Galesburg Silver Streaks Girls Basketball vs Sullivan Redskins

It was the second game of the day, and the Galesburg Silver Streaks did a much better job, in defeating the Sullivan Redskins  64-31 in the second game of a double-header to open the Mattoon Holiday Tournament.

After struggling from the field and starting out 0 for their first 9, and leading 8-7 at the end of the first quarter, they led by a score of 28-21 at the end of the first half.  They outscored Sullivan 21-2 in the third quarter, and only gave up two baskets in the second half.  The Streaks shot 25 for 51 from the field for 49%, and they out-rebounded Sullivan 35-24.

Andrea Sampson led the Streaks with 12 points on four three-pointers.  Megan Lingafelter had nine points on three three-pointers, to go along with five rebounds, four assists, and a steal.  Yvonne Mixon and Chloe McCarthy both had eight points, and Lexie Tucker came off the bench with six points.
