The Galesburg Boys Basketball team closed out it’s home portion of it’s schedule with a big win on Monday night over Rock Island Alleman 71- 38. The streaks 19th win of the regular season. Galesburg had a 9 point lead at halftime but right before halftime it was just a three point lead before the Silver Streaks scored not only the final six points of the first half to take the 9 point half time lead. Then the streaks scored the first 7 points of the 3rd quarter to build a 16 point lead and the streaks were never threatened the rest of the way the their 71- 38 victory.
The Silver Streaks put four players into double figures led by our Dave’s Autobody Crunch Time Player of the Game Eric Price, who finished with 14 points, 9 of which were in the second half when the Streaks really opened up the lead on the game.
Galesburg is now 19 and 8 on the season and 4 and 3 on the Western Big 6. Alleman drops to 14- 12 overall and 1-8 in conference play.
