Galesburg Silver Streaks Boys Basketball vs Rock Island Rocks

Recap by Brad Bennewitz,

“The Galesburg boys basketball team found a true signature victory on the season rallying from a 15 point deficit in the second half at Rock Island and winning it 60-58, the Streaks 20th win of the season. Galesburg had 33 points going into the fourth quarter, finished with 27 points in that quarter alone, and ended up with the come from behind victory. The Streaks had a few big plays by Cornell Dotson who hit two 3-pointers early in the third quarter, a big 3 point plays from Andrew Anderson, and a 3 point play off a steal by Parks at mid-court to sprint down the floor and get a lay-up and the foul. But it was Cornell Dotson who had the two free throws with 8/10 of a second remaining that was the deciding factor in this game. Our Dave’s Autobody Crunch-Time Player of the Game was Cornell Dotson who was the Streaks leading scorer with 15 points and the 2 free throws that won the game for Galesburg. The Streaks are now 5-3 in the Western Big 6 Conference while the Rocks drop to 4-4 in conference play and the Streaks will try to go for their third conference victory in five days when they play at Moline Friday night.”
