Mrs. Cynthia L. ”Cindy” Evitt, 52, of Galesburg, Illinois died 3:25 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 2018 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg. She was born January 11, 1966 in Galesburg to John and Catherine McAdam Shaner. She married Billy Warden in 1987 in Galesburg. She later married John Mike Evitt in 1995 in Galesburg.
She is survived by her significant other, Billy Warden of Galesburg, two daughters, Samantha (and Joseph Brill) Warden of Peoria, Illinois and Cassandra “Cassie” Evitt of Galesburg, three brothers, John Shaner, II of Machesney Park, Illinois, Theodore “Ted” (and Marcella) Shaner of Cameron, Illinois, and Edward (and Stacey) Shaner of Galesburg, a sister, Christine Shaner of Galesburg, and a half sister, Mary (and Merrill) Howell of Evergreen, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents and a half-brother, Howard Shaner.
Cindy graduated from Knoxville High School, Knoxville, Illinois in 1984. She worked for J.B.H. Petroleum in Knoxville for several years. She enjoyed camping and fishing. She loved animals especially her dog “Jimmy”.
Cremation will be accorded. Celebration of Cindy’s life will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the Knox County Farm Bureau, 180 S. Soangetaha Road, Galesburg, Illinois.
