The Prairie Fire football schedule for the fall of 2018 has been announced.

Knox will travel to Millikin for an exhibition game during preseason and then open up on September 1 at home against Eureka for the seventh annual Lincoln Bowl in an attempt to retain the Lincoln trophy.

The Prairie Fire will then travel to Beloit and Ripon, sandwiching the bye week, and return home on September 29 and October 6. After a road trip to Grinnell on October 13, Knox will return home to take on Illinois College on October 20 for homecoming.

After a trip to Cornell on October 27, the Prairie Fire host Monmouth in the 130th Annual Bronze Turkey Game on November 3. Knox will also celebrate senior day. Finally, the Prairie Fire will battle a north division foe in the Midwest Conference Crossover Game on November 11.

“The 2018 schedule has some real challenges for the Fire, we play both the North and South MWC champs as well as conference champion and playoff qualifier Eureka College,” said head coach Damon Tomeo. “The experience of having 49 letter winners returning, 10 offensive starters and 7 defensive starters, should help us early in the season.”
