Timothy L. Hennenfent, 56, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 5:23 am Saturday, July 7, 2018 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.He was born August 25, 1961 in Peoria, IL, the son of Roger L. and Marjorie E. (Tippet) Hennenfent. Tim was raised and educated in Warren County and graduated from Warren High School in 1979. He then attended Carl Sandburg College graduating in 1981 with a degree in Automotive Mechanics.
Tim married Pamela Talley on May 20, 1984 in Monmouth.
Tim farmed with his dad many years on the family farm. He also delivered LP for almost 20 years, working for Great Plains, Thermo-Gas in Little York, and Hicks Gas in Roseville. Tim also drove a semi over the road and locally until his retirement. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Monmouth, and the NRA. His family and four boys meant the most to him and his four grandkids later in life. He loved MOPAR muscle cars, Oliver Tractors, and the Chicago Cubs. Jeopardy was Tim’s favorite show where he could answer almost every question. He enjoyed reading and challenging his mind.
Survivors include his four sons, Nicholas (Amy) Hennenfent of Monmouth, IL, Nathan (Sara) Hennenfent of Alexis, IL, Nolan Hennenfent of Monmouth, IL, and Noah Hennenfent of Gerlaw, IL; four grandchildren, Kenleigh Hennenfent, Brooke Hennenfent, Benjamin Hennenfent, and Josie Hennenfent. Also surviving is his sister, Jill (Danny) Johnson of Gerlaw, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 12, 2018 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services. Memorials can be made to the Tim Hennenfent Memorial Fund.
