Dale Edward Knox, age 65, died at SSM St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lake St. Louis on July 3rd, 2018. He was born in Fulton, MO on May 1st, 1953. He was a 1973 graduate of Yates City High School. He went on to marry his best friend, Jodene LeBaron. He spent the bulk of his working years in the vinyl manufacturing industry where he became an expert in his field. As a plant manager at Rustique in O’Fallon, MO, he used his experimental nature to invent a vinyl skirting product for which he held the patent. He attended Abundant Life Church of Warrenton, MO.

Dale overflowed with love for his family and was ever present for his grandchildren who added so much joy to his life and a smile to his face. He is survived by his wife, Jodene, their daughter, Shelly Bloomer and her husband Steve of Maquon, IL, their son, Josh Knox and his wife Sheli of Lee’s Summit, MO, and their son, Danial Knox and his wife Colleen of Waukegan, IL, and eight grandchildren. He is also survived by several siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents George Knox and Betty Knox, sister Sylvia Schumaker, nephew Matthew Weir, and three grandchildren he got to see for the first time the day he died.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 A.M., with the Memorial Service following at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the United Methodist Church in Maquon, IL. A fellowship and dinner will be served for all in the church fellowship hall at 1:00 P.M. It will be a celebration of his life and relationships with those who attend. Donations can be made to Hematology, Oncology, Division of the University of Iowa Clinics in support his efforts of donating bone marrow.
