Joann D. Lynch, 63, of Knoxville, died at 2:20 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.Joann was born February 18, 1955 in Moline, the daughter of Darrell G. and Doris J. (Wendell) Hubbard. She married Larry D. Lynch on July 21, 1973 at Orange Chapel in rural Gilson, IL. He survives of Knoxville. Joann is also survived by four daughters, Jennifer (Jason) Hergert of Monmouth, Heather (Trent) Shores of Knoxville, Kara (Jim) Roe of Knoxville, and Amanda (Neal) Jefferson of Maquon; her father, Darrell Hubbard of Maquon; one brother, Neal (Dee) Hubbard Knoxville; and three sisters, Linda Mitchell of Maquon, Darla Hubbard of Morton, and Shellie (Danny) Boone of Knoxville. Joann is also survived by her grandchildren Hailey, Hayley, Hannah, Lukasz, Rachael, Kennedy, and another granddaughter due in September; and one great granddaughter, Lyla. Joann was preceded in death by her mother.

Joann worked for P.A.L.S. in Knoxville for many years. She later worked at St. Mary’s Square, and had been working at Courtyard Estates in Knoxville since its opening on December 4, 2015. Joann also had an in home daycare for many years when her children were young. She also worked as a volunteer E.M.T. for several years. Joann loved crafts. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, reading, collecting antiques and working in her garden. Joann also loved to bake. She made numerous wedding cakes over the years. Most of all she loved doing things for her grandchildren, from making sure they had special treats when they came to visit to replacing items they had lost.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Private family graveside services will be held in Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville. A celebration of life will be 12-2 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2018 at James Knox Park in Knoxville. Memorials may be made to Courtyard Estates, Knoxville.
