An event that has been months in the making, “Friends For Fish” is Sunday (7/22) to honor one of the founding members of local band Eternity Road. Don “Fish” Fisher was diagnosed with cancer in December of 2016. The event has become more of a celebration of life with Don Fisher’s unfortunate passing earlier this week. Eternity Road member and Sales Manager for Galesburg Broadcasting, Chris Postin says former band mates are coming in from across the country. “He wanted us to do this thing regardless of whether he was going to be there or not,” Postin said. “So we are going to hold this celebration for his wife and his kids and for him. No cover charge. There’s food – and when the food’s out, the food’s out. We a big, giant “Eternity Road” banner – we’re going to have everybody sign that. We’re going to give it to his wife and kids. We’ve got a lot of past members (of Eternity Road) that are going to come and play and share memories. They want to do what Fish wanted to do and they wanted to play music.” “Friends for Fish” will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Monmouth American Legion on Sunday (7/22).
