One individual was arrested and a business is left badly damaged after an early Friday afternoon crash. At approximately 12:30pm on Friday, a white pick-up truck caused a three-car crash at the intersection of South Farnham and Grand Avenue in front of Flavor Freeze. The driver of the truck, while fleeing from police at the time, came to a rest inside of Doggidos Pet Grooming on Grand Avenue. The driver fled on foot and was apprehended by Galesburg Police shortly after. Two other SUVs where badly damaged in the crash. No one was inside the business at the time, and no one was injured. Doggidos owners plan to open tomorrow for regular business hours with a large piece of plywood currently covering the hole on the north west side of the building where a large window once was. According to Police Capt. Russ Idle, GPD is investigating the crash and WGIL will have more information as it becomes available.
