The Galesburg Silver Streaks host their home opener against the Geneseo Maple Leafs. It will also be the dedication of “F&M Bank Stadium”. It’s the first meeting of these two teams in years but that will change with the Maple Leafs and Sterling Golden Warriors entering the Western Big 6 Conference next year. Both teams enter wafter losses in week one. The Streaks fell 21-7 an t Class 5A 2nd ranked Dunlap. Genes lost to the Moline Maroons 36-6. Brad Bennewitz and Sean Hickey have the call.
