Take in a show with the Prairie Players’ presentation of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” returning for a second weekend Friday, November 16th through Sunday, November 18th. Based on the biblical story, the musical tells the story of a favored son who is sold into slavery by his jealous brothers, rises to become advisor to the Pharaoh, and reunites with his family in forgiveness. Christian Kennedy who plays Joseph says the performance send a great message. “It’s a wonderful story of redemption,” Kennedy said. “Someone who is dazzled by dreams of greatness doesn’t realize the words he says has an impact on people and they take offense to it. (He) is wronged so terribly, but through it all keeps his faith. It’s a lesson I think we can all take something away from – to always remember that mercy is far more powerful than vengeance.” The production is intended for multiple generations with adults, students and kids from the community on the stage and off. Showtimes are Friday, November 16th and Saturday, November 17 at 7:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday, November 17th and 18th at 2:00 pm.  Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for students and can be purchase online on the Prairie Players website.  However, officials say most of the shows are already sold out.
