No WAIK-ing up anymore

Prairie Radio Communications on Monday took one of the last radio stations they own but had not sold to another company — Galesburg’s WAIK-AM — off the air.  WAIK — considered a longtime competitor to WGIL — had been on the air for more than a half-century.  Two former WAIK employees — WGIL Engineer Rick Heath and Evening News host Will Stevenson — talk about what the station meant to them, and to the community.
