Galesburg Silver Streaks Boys Basketball vs Danville Vikings

Here is a recap of the game from WGIL’s Brad Bennewitz:

“The Danville Vikings outscored the Galesburg boys basketball team in every quarter en route to a 73-47 victory that sends the Streaks to a 12-9 record on the season. Streaks were down a dozen at the half and then the Vikings scored eight quick points to open up the third quarter, outscoring the Streaks by ten overall and the game was pretty much out of reach for the Silver Streaks at that point.  Jaylin McCants led Galesburg in scoring with 14 points and seven rebounds. Our Dave’s Autobody Crunch-Time Player of the Game was Keith Cunningham who finished with 13 points and five rebounds, hitting some big shots in the second quarter when the Streaks were really trying to hang in the game. Cunningham’s big plays carried over to the third and fourth quarters as it just kind of stemmed the tide preventing Danville from totally running away with the game, but they did eventually end up winning it by 26. The Streaks are now 12-9 for the season and they will get back into Western Big 6 Conference action on Friday night when Rock island comes to town.”
