The director of the Galesburg Public Library has resigned his position after less than a year on the job.Zack Holt is leaving due to personal reasons according to a release from the Library.
Acting as co-directors in the interim will be Assistant Director Jane Easterly and Technical Services supervisor Nancy Terpening, with the search for a new director getting underway in the spring.
Holt came to Galesburg by way of the Forrest Public District Library where he was director for three years, then replacing Harriet Zipfel at the GPL.
Library Board President Laurie Muelder says they appreciate Holt’s “time” in Galesburg and wish him well as he pursues his next professional opportunity.
Come this spring, the Board will once again begin searching for a new director.
