Quality of Life series continues this week at Seminary Estates

semi-1

Seminary Estates in Galesburg is continuing a program this week to help you keep your wits.

The 3rd installment of Seminary Estates’ Brain Health Series is Thursday, March 14th with Fit Wits. Each month, the Quality of Life Series, which started last year, brings in presenters to cover a variety of health topics. Megan Brown with Seminary Estates says in this session, you will learn more about the aging brain and what you can do to keep your brain engaged. “People do crossword puzzles and word searches – those type of things, you know, to help,” Brown said. “They’ll teach you some other things that will really help. What’s been interesting in this series, people brought to our attention – people think more about their heart health than they ever do with their brain health. So it brings a lot of attention to that. It’s been a really fun event.” The series will have another installment of brain health next month to wrap up the topic. The program will also include Western Illinois Home Health Care coming to talk about Medicare and getting the most out of health benefits, and Ellen Larson with the VNA and everything it has to offer. Fit Wits will be held Thursday at 2:00 pm in the dining room – just enter the front door of Seminary Estates. The program is open to the public.
