Rezner, Richard Lee

Mr. Richard Lee Rezner, 92, formerly of Galesburg, Illinois passed away at 4:45 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2019 in Center, Missouri.

Richard was born on July 4, 1926 in Biggsville, Illinois, to Leon and Grace (Marshall) Rezner. He married Mary Bullman August 31, 1957 with whom he had two daughters. She preceded him in death September of 1988. He later married Vivian Marxen November 25, 1992. He is survived by his wife, Vivian; a son, Curt (Kimberly) Linderman Sr.; daughter Dianna LaRaye Linderman; granddaughters, Annette Kidder and Amanda Behymer; granddaughters, Virginia Wardell, Destini Linderman, and Kassidy Linderman; grandsons, Nicholson (Jena) Barkley, Eric (Cory) Barkley, and Curt Linderman Jr. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and very special family friends, Anthony and Mary Ellen Ganaasin. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary; and daughters, Grace Ann Kidder and Marsha Hope Rezner. Richard moved to Galesburg in 1941 and graduated from Galesburg High School in 1945. He was a Korean War veteran serving in the United States Army.   Richard retired in 1987 after 38 years with Butler Manufacturing. He married Vivian Marxen in 1992 and enjoyed his retirement with travel and family.   He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and American Legion Post # 285 in Galesburg. He was a member of the Steelworker’s Labor Union.   He was also a member of the Western Illinois Antique Auto Club and the Big Six Riverband Studebaker Driver’s Club.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. Pastor Larry Hinds will officiate. Burial will be in Biggsville Cemetery, Biggsville, Illinois. Visitation will be noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2019 at the chapel.
