The City of Galesburg will soon unveil a new mobile app that’ll make reporting problems much easier. The system, called PSR, is designed by Public Service Request LLC and enables anyone to report problems or issues from any browser, smartphone or tablet. The system will track the history of citizens requests, responses, and any follow-up communication that is requested. Users of the system can even submit issues anonymously and submit photos. According to a news release from the City of Galesburg, the system will be used by the public, City Council, and internal city staff for managing departmental service requests and work orders and will help to ensure continued feedback through completion. City Clerk Kelli Bennewitz said “We hope this app and process will make it more convenient for residents to inform us of an issue or problem. Many times people don’t have the time in their day to call the City and this will allow reporting to be done in their schedule 24/7.”
