Two men were in Knox County Circuit Court on Monday for separate crimes committed over the weekend.

20-year-old Deandre K. Davis made a video appearance Monday where bond was set at $100,000 and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for May 14th. He faces a Class X charge of Home Invasion.

According to the Galesburg Police, officers were called out to the 900-block of McClure Street for an unknown disturbance.

The complainant, a family member of Davis, told officers that he had forced his way into the house, was damaging property, and battering family members.

Family members were able to subdue him until officers arrived and arrested him.

According to the Department of Corrections, Davis was sentenced in 2017 to robbery in Cook County, had been on parole since November.

The second man, 18-year-old Quincy L. Bearce of Galesburg, made a video appearance and had bond set at $20,000 on burglary and fleeing charges.

Bearce and a 17-year-old teenager were arrested Sunday morning after Galesburg Police were called out to Andrews Road for a burglary in progress.

Officers pursued a vehicle that the suspects had allegedly driven away in.

The pursuit took officers through town, allegedly the suspect vehicle reached speeds of 60-miles per hour, and was stopped at the corner of East Fremont and Lincoln Streets.

Bearce was arrested with little resistance, the 17-year-old allegedly ran and was found hiding under train cars on the railroad track. Police say two other passengers escaped.

Bearce will be back in court on May 6th.
